If you have a background in workers’ compensation claims and know how to interact with clients, Insurance Relief has an opportunity for you as a commercial claims liaison with a retail agency in Fresno, California. This is a direct hire position.
The commercial claims liaison is the primary point of contact for carrier representatives and agency clients, providing customer support and guidance in the risk management and claims filing process. The workers’ compensation claims liaison plays a fundamental role in ensuring client retention and satisfaction during the claims progression.
The responsibilities of the job include working directly with clients to assess risk and help minimize potential claims by assessing risk hazards, conducting meetings with clients on a regular basis, coordinating the claims communication and processes between the client and carrier to ensure efficient flow of claims filing, and creating and maintaining an environment that fosters customer service.
The claims liaison also works closely with clients to help gather the appropriate information to file a claim, stays in contact with carriers and representatives throughout the claims process, and maintains claim files, diary and record-keeping. In addition, the person hired for the position will also review and audit regularly, answer basic coverage questions, interpret policy language and file all claims accurately.
To qualify for consideration, you must have at least five years of relevant experience handling workers’ compensation claims as well as experience managing complex claims, including analysis, investigation and evaluation. Requirements for the job also include the ability to travel on a regular basis, knowledge of Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced), excellent customer service skills, the ability to communicate effectively through email, over the phone and in person. You will also need to have a P&C license or a combination of education and professional insurance designations.
