Insurance Relief has an exciting opportunity available for a large group employee benefits broker/producer at a leading regional insurance firm in the San Jose area. This is a full-time permanent position with a base salary, commission and bonuses. It also has the potential for advancement.
All producers are supported by experienced service and support staff, state-of-the-art agency management systems, many different insurance markets, and dedicated claims advocacy.
The person hired for this position should have a strong knowledge of benefits insurance, proven success in selling large group medical plans, the ability to self-manage, prospect, develop long-lasting relationships, and develop a book of clients.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to generate leads through cold calling, develop internal referrals and professional relationships, and support community involvement.
The broker should have familiarity with all aspects of insurance services, from the application process to policy analysis. They should be knowledgeable about COBRA, HIPAA, and Medicare Part D, have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and handle multitask projects.
The person hired for this position should also have the ability to foster rapport with customers,co-workers and companies, knowledge of insurance markets, forms and coverages, superior computer skills and a full command of Microsoft Office. At least two years of experience in the benefits insurance industry are required.
Other requirements include a life and health insurance license.
